What is HAVOC?
HAVOC is an acronym for ‘Hostile Aggressive Violent Offender Combatives’ – but don’t let the name scare you! These are the types of confrontation you might face in everyday situations. Our system is designed to give you the techniques, tactics and tools to deal with these situations and, while we hope you never encounter them, it’s good to be prepared for the worst case.
What is Jeet Kune Do?
Jeet Kune Do is a combat style developed by Bruce Lee, which takes all the most useful strands of a series of martial arts effective at all ranges of combat, and weaves them together into an ever-evolving art. In short, it teaches you how best to face a range of situations, from friendly sparring to defending yourself in the event of a physical attack.
Meet our trainers
Internationally recognised
Welcome to HAVOC UK, one of the UK’s only internationally recognised Jeet Kune Do training schools. Based in Kent, we aim to help students of all abilities reach their fitness goals and learn useful combat skills in an engaging and open environment.

Simon Sheridan
Simon has been training in the Martial Arts for over 30 years. He began aged 17 studying Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu. This training was to last well into his 20s. He then went on to study Jeet Kune Do, under Guro Lee Banda.
Unfortunately after several years of Jeet Kune Do study and while training to become an Assistant Instructor (Simon was already teaching several classes), the club closed and a new search was to begin. Simon met David Arnold, the principal Instructor of the UK Quanfa Academy and soon became impressed with both David Arnold and the TEH JI HAN JEUNG DAO system.
After a few years Simon became an Associate Instructor. Continued diligent study both inside and outside of the class has now seen Simon obtain the rank of Full Instructor.
Simon continued to develop the system and his research has exposed him to Muay Thai under Master Sken, Eskrima under Guru Khrishna Godhania (Warriors Eskrima), D.A.R.T (Karate) under Dr John Titchen, Tai Chi under David Arnold and Simon Watson and Simon has also been a private student of Grand Master Danny Guba (Doce Pares Eskrima).
Simon teaches at community level, but also teaches at seminars around the country.
Simon now teaches HAVOC Jeet Kune Do under Jay Cooper of HAVOC JKD in Canada.

“I’ve been training with Simon for eight years and in that time, he’s not only helped me improve my martial arts skills, he’s also helped me build confidence and believe in my abilities. Training with him is focused and fun – I’d recommend his classes to anyone looking for good martial arts classes in Kent.”
Charlotte Carlton
“I have had the pleasure of training with Simon and his students at several martial arts seminars across the South East. I have found him to be knowledgeable, capable and dedicated in his JKD martial arts experience and delivery. His students have all been excellent practitioners, with an open mind to learning other styles and applications. With his recent merging with HAVOC JKD in Canada, the content and commitment of the classes continue to grow exponentially.”
